Mobile Men Fall At SSAC Tournament

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 15th-ranked Shorter University men's tennis team defeated the University of Mobile 9-0 at the 2011 SSAC Tournament Friday.

Mobile (6-7) will now await word on the host bid for the 2011 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship May 17-21 at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The tandems of Guilherme Lorencon-Lucas Martins and Enzo Correa-Jesus Urmeneta battled but lost by 3-8 scores at the No. 1 and 2 doubles slots for the Rams.

Shorter cruised in singles play, while Urmeneta put up a battle for Mobile at No. 4 singles before falling 5-7, 3-6.

2. Guilherme Lorencon lost 1-6, 2-6
