MOBILE, Ala—The University of Mobile women’s golf program announced the addition of Alma Bryant High School star Devin Pigford for the 2011-12 season.

“I’m looking forward to working with Devin and watching her golf game mature over the next year,” UMobile Head Coach Colby Odom said.

Pigford finished 3^rd with an 80 at the 2011 girls Class 6A Section 1 golf tournament and led Alma Bryant to a 2^nd place finish. Alma Bryant finished 4^th at the 2011 AHSAA Golf Championship, with Pigford placing 9^th individually with a 159 (85, 74).

In 2010, Pigford qualified for the State Championship as an individual and finished tied for 8^th with a 16-over 160 (83, 77).

“The goal of any team is to compete for championships, and I like that Devin has championship experience in high school,” Odom said. “That should make her transition to the collegiate game easier.”
