MEMPHIS, Tenn-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team placed 22nd at the Brooks Memphis Twilight XC Classic Saturday evening to start the 2011 season.
The 4 mile run took place at the Mike Rose Complex. Two hundred runners competed, with the majority of the teams being NCAA affiliates.
The Rams turned in a team time of 2:11:43.16.
Mark Meadows placed 165th to lead the Rams with a time of 24:46 and newcomer John Craft clocked in at 25:13 to place 172nd.
Zach Gaines finished with a time of 26:07, Chase Amerson clocked in at 27:31, Jayme Foot finished at 28:04, Emil Verde finished at 28:34 and Zach Stanley finished with a time of 31:35. Rounding out the Mobile runners was Jeffrey Caviness with a time of 32:13.
Mobile will run in the Badger Brawl at Municipal Park Saturday, Sept. 10 at 8 am.
