Mobile Men Blank Scorpions Behind Dolan's Goals

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 2nd-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 2-0 shutout win over University of Texas-Brownsville on the final day of the UMobile Soccer Classic Saturday.

The Rams have outscored their opponents 15-1 in the four victories thus far. They next play Friday, Sept. 23 at home at 6 pm against conference foe Shorter University.

While Deshorn Brown has done much of the scoring in the early part of the season, it was the Eoin Dolan show at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

The junior from Dunboyne, Ireland notched both of Mobile's goals, each coming in the opening half.

Dolan started the scoring in the 16th minute when he controlled a loose ball at the top of the 18-yard box and booted the ball past the keeper for the 1-0 lead.

The final goal came in the 40th minute and it was a thing of beauty. Stephen Okai lined a cross in front of the goal, and Dolan scored on a diving header.

Mobile out shot the Scorpions 19-9 in the game, including a 9-2 edge in the opening half.

Kyle Buxton worked all 90 minutes in goal for the Rams, finishing with one save in the shutout victory.
