CLEVELAND, Ga-- The 2nd-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team bounced back from its first loss of the season by defeating Truett-McConnell 4-0 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Saturday.
Mobile (8-1, 4-1) will next host Emmanuel College Friday, Oct. 7 at 6 pm.
Just like they have made a habit of doing all year, the Rams struck early.
Chris Dillon hit the post just 50 seconds into the game and then found the back of the net at the 1:07 mark for the 1-0 lead.
Mobile kept the pressure up in the half, but Craig Stephenson made four saves and the game entered the break with Mobile up 1-0.
The Rams came out and dominated the second half as well, and more goals came.
Stephen Okai made it 2-0 off an assist from Michael Azira in the 63rd minute and Deshorn Brown added an unassisted tally four minutes later.
Dillon then capped the scoring with another goal in the 72nd minute.
Mobile out shot the Bears 24-6 and held a 16-2 edge in shots on frame. Xavier Audergon worked between the posts for the Rams and tallied one save in the shutout victory.
