MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team went 1-1 on the final day of the Faulkner University Invitational Saturday to cap a 3-1 weekend.
Mobile (14-10, 5-5) defeated Bryan College 3-0 (25-15, 25-16, 25-14) and fell to Freed-Hardeman 2-3 (23-25, 25-23, 24-26, 25-20, 9-15) Saturday.
Against Freed-Hardeman, Mobile had three players with double-digit kills. Kiara Gay led the way with a double-double of 18 kills and 18 digs, while Alison Kenney and Disah Kolassiba added 15 kills apiece.
Melody Tenney led with 34 assists and added 15 digs, while Katy McCollister led the defense with 21 digs.
The Lady Rams hit .265 in the straight-set win over Bryan College to start the day as Gay led the team again with 14 kills.
McCollister led with 18 digs, while Tenney finished with 22 assists and 10 digs.
Mobile served up eight aces and held Bryan to a -.011 attack percentage.
Mobile visits Southern University-New Orleans Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 7 pm.
