MOBILE, Ala-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team bounced visiting Belhaven University 4-1 in a Southern States Athletic Conference contest Tuesday evening.

Mobile (11-2-1, 7-1) visits Faulkner Saturday Oct. 15 at 5 pm.

The Lady Rams out shot the Blazers 25-6 and held a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks, but it was not until the second half when Mobile pulled away from a 1-1 tie.

Starting with a goal just 44 seconds into the final period when Kassie Ruff took a feed from Jesslyn Fagundes in the far side of the 18-yard box and went far post for the decisive goal.

The remainder of the half saw Ruff pick up two more tallies for the hat trick. In the 70th minute, she beat the goalkeeper to a loose ball and found net, and in the 74th minute she headed home a brilliant cross from Bethan Morgans.

The first half saw Brianna Simmons start the scoring in the 6th minute when she headed home a cross from Fagundes, and Belhaven tied it up in the 35th minute when Rebecca Ontero chipped the ball into the top of the net.
