CLINTON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's and women's cross country teams ran at the 2011 Choctaw Open Saturday morning at Choctaw Trails.

The men finished 12th as a team in the 8K run, while the women did not have enough runners to qualify as a team in their 5K run.

The men finished with a total time of 2:59:14.92 and 351 points, while Mississippi State won the meet with a time of 2:13:24.59 and 33 points.

John Craft paced Mobile with a 66th-place finish after clocking in at 31:40.26 and Zach Gaines finished 70th at 32:07.90.

Emil Verde finished with a time of 35:34.89, Chase Amerson finished at 38:36.78 and Jeffrey Caviness finished at 41:15.09 for Mobile.

Joanna Canning led the women with a time of 21:54.17 to finish 51st and Katelyn Osborne finished 64th with a time of 22:51.58.

Allie Wheeler finished at 25:14.01 and Chynna Lee clocked in at 26:59.55 for the Lady Rams.
