MOBILE, Ala-- The 4th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team defeated NCAA-II foe University of West Florida 1-0 Friday evening.

Mobile (13-1-1, 8-1-1) will return to SSAC action Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7 pm when they host Auburn University-Montgomery.

Neither team put on consistent pressure, with Xavier Audergon making three saves in goal in the shutout win for Mobile, and West Florida had two goalkeepers combine for only one save.

West Florida out shot Mobile 11-4 in the game and held a 3-0 edge in corner kicks taken.

The one score came off the foot of Deshorn Brown in the 39th minute of the game. A free kick and header put the ball in the 18-yard box for Mobile, and Brown gathered it in, whiffed on one shot and then went again and banged it home inside the far post. It was Brown's 24th goal of the season.
