No. 5 Mobile Men Host Spring Hill Saturday @ 7:30

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team will host crosstown rival Spring Hill College Saturday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 pm in a SSAC Tournament Opening Round contest.

The Rams (15-1-1) won the SSAC Regular Season Championship and continue to hold strong at No. 5 in the NAIA Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll behind Lindsey Wilson, Baker, Hastings and Rio Grande.

Winning the SSAC is quite a feat, considering five SSAC teams are ranked in the top 19 in the NAIA.

Deshorn Brown leads the NAIA with 29 goals and 60 points on the year, and was recently named NAIA Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.

As a team, Mobile leads the nation with 12 shutouts and is 5th with 65 goals. Sam Blackburn ranks 3rd in the country with 13 assists, while Stephen Okai is 18th with 10 assists.

Mobile has allowed multiple goals only once this year, and that was the team's lone loss, 2-1 at Southern Wesleyan. Since that game, the Rams are 8-0-1, and have outscored teams 34-2.

The Rams hosted the Badgers last weekend and rolled to a 5-0 win, with Brown picking up a pair of goals and Mobile out shooting Spring Hill 25-7.
