MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team finished out its 2010 home schedule by dropping a doubleheader to Lambuth University Sunday. Lambuth won the opener 12-0 in five innings and took the finale 6-5 in nine innings. Mobile (20-29, 13-18) will close out the regular season at LSU-Shreveport with a three-game conference series beginning Friday at 6:30 pm.

The University of Mobile women's soccer program announced the signing of six players for the 2010 season. Rebekah Counce, Stefanie Weaver, Samantha Long, Madison Rumore, Jenny Dewitz and Melissa Maddox will join the Lady Rams for their inaugural season with the Southern States Athletic Conference.

WEST MIDLAND, Ga-- The 2010 season came to an end for the University of Mobile men's golf team at the NAIA Unaffiliated Play-In Round Tuesday. After Monday's opening two rounds, the Rams sat in 7th place after shooting 611, to trail Spring Hill by 16 strokes. Tuesday, The Rams shot an impressive 7-over 295 to climb to 4th, but it still was not enough to win the tournament and earn a bid to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championships.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 23rd-ranked University of Mobile softball team split a GCAC doubleheader with 6th-ranked Belhaven University Tuesday, taking the opener 9-4 before falling in the finale 4-0. Mobile (32-17, 11-5) is done until the GCAC Tournament April 29-30 at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. Belhaven moves to 44-6 overall and 11-3 in GCAC play. The Lady Rams wasted little time in making a statement in game one, putting up an eight-spot in the 1st to take an 8-0 lead, before coasting to the 9-4 victory.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 25th-ranked University of Mobile softball team swept a pair of one-run games from rival Spring Hill College Sunday afternoon in GCAC action. Mobile (31-16, 10-4) won game one 2-1 in 8 innings and held on for a 3-2 win in the finale. Kamaron Strickland picked up the win in the opener, going 8 innings of 6-hit, 1-run ball for Mobile. She struck out 3 and walked 1. Samantha Brooks took the loss after giving up 1 earned run on 7 hits in 8 innings while fanning 6 and walking none.

The Lady Rams (15-4, 9-4) next play LSU-Shreveport Thursday, April 29 at a time to be announced in New Orleans. Mobile got wins from Rachel Hartley-Zelie Pfeiffer at No. 1 doubles and Claudia Borges-Nancy Machen at No. 3 doubles.

The Badgers beat the Rams 19-10 in the finale. John Ladnier got the win in the 7-inning opener for Mobile with 2 innings of 2-hit, shutout relief.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished 2nd at the 2010 Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Championship and Jacob Morgan won the 2010 Individual GCAC Championship. After Tuesday's opening round, the Rams and Spring Hill were tied for 1st after shooting a pair of 17-over 305's, but the Badgers carded a 10-over 298 Wednesday to win the tournament. Mobile finished 35-over 611 (305, 306) and Spring Hill finished 1st at 27-over 603 (305, 298).
