UM Women Defeat NCAA III Foe

MOBILE, Ala-- The 25th-ranked University of Mobile women's tennis team downed NCAA III Millsaps College 6-3 Monday afternoon. The Lady Rams led 2-1 after doubles play after the teams of Zelie Pfeiffer-Rachel Hartley and Claudia Borges-Nancy Machen picked up 8-2 wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, respectively.

UM Men Pick Up GCAC Victories

Mobile, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team swept Belhaven University and Tougaloo College in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Saturday. Mobile beat Belhaven 6-3 and defeated Tougaloo 8-1. Ricky Weghorst, Guilherme Lorencon, Jesus Urmeneta and Saulo Litterio won in singles play for the Rams, while R. Weghorst - G. Lorencon and Gustavo Godoi - J. Urmeneta won in doubles action against Belhaven.

Mobile Goes 4-0 In Pool Play Action

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The University of Mobile softball team improved to 4-0 in pool play at the Gulf Coast Invitational by winning a pair of games Saturday. The Lady Rams knocked off Freed-Hardeman 3-1 and beat Campbellsville 3-2 in 8 innings. In Saturday's pool play opener, the 18th-ranked Lady Rams wasted plenty of opportunities, leaving 10 runners on base, but did enough to beat Freed-Hardeman 3-1.

Rams Split Pair With Badgers

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team split Saturday's Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader at Spring Hill, winning the opener 5-1 and falling 10-0 in the finale.

Michael Clay pitched the Rams to a 5-1 win in game one of Saturday's doubleheader at Spring Hill. The lefty tossed a complete-game, three-hitter while allowing only one run to score. He fanned three and walked three.

Park Tops Mobile 5-4

MOBILE, Ala-- A pair of 2-out, 2-run homeruns sent Park University to a 5-4 victory over the University of Mobile in NAIA softball action Wednesday. The teams were scheduled to play two games, but a 1 hour 45 minute rain delay in game one canceled the second game. Justine Riner picked up the win for Park, allowing only 1 earned run on 4 hits in 7 innings of action.
