Rams Best Badgers To Earn Conference Tourney Berth

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team defeated rival Spring Hill College 60-57 to close out the regular season and earn a spot in the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament. Mobile (15-13, 8-10) locks up the 5th seed in the West after Belhaven lost, and will face either Coastal Georgia or Truett-McConnell in the SSAC Tournament in Montgomery, Ala., Feb. 27 - Mar. 1.

Lady Rams Dispose Of Spring Hill; Secure No. 4 Seed

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team defeated Spring Hill College 59-54 to cap the regular season, and will be the 4th seed out of the SSAC West in the Southern States Athletic Conference Tournament Feb. 27 - Mar. 2 at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery, Ala.

UMobile Men & Women Visit SHC Saturday In Must-Win Games

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's and women's basketball teams will close out the regular season at Spring Hill Saturday with postseason berths on the line. Mobile's women (14-14, 8-9) will battle the Badgers (12-16, 7-10) at 5 pm to kick things off, with the winner getting a spot in the SSAC Tournament beginning Feb. 27.

Hornets Score Late To Take Game 5-2 From Rams

MOBILE, Ala-- Southern Poly scored five runs over the final four innings to beat the University of Mobile 5-2 in Southern States Athletic Conference baseball action Friday afternoon. Mobile (6-8, 1-5) visits rival Spring Hill Tuesday at 4 pm. Troy Herterick worked 2.1 innings of two-hit, shutout relief to get the win for Southern Poly, while Zach Smith struck out three in 1.2 innings of scoreless relief to get the save.

Rams Split Doubleheader With Hornets

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team used a three-run 7th inning to take game one 5-4 from visiting Southern Poly before dropping the finale 8-5. Mobile (6-7, 1-4) hosts Southern Poly for a single game Friday at a time to be determined. Trailing 4-2 heading into the final inning of the 7-inning opener, the Rams mounted a rally, scoring three runs on four hits with one error aiding the cause.

Rams Fall Just-Short At No. 7 UWF; Lose 4-5

PENSACOLA, Fla-- The University of Mobile baseball team's 9th-inning rally at 7th-ranked University of West Florida fell short Wednesday as the Rams lost 4-5. Mobile (5-6, 0-3) hosts Southern Poly for a three-game Southern States Athletic Conference series beginning Thursday with an 11 am doubleheader.

Rams Open Spring Slate At FSCC Spring Invitational

FAIRHOPE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team opened the 2013 spring schedule with a 9th place finish at the FSCC Spring Invitational. The Rams carded a 68-over 644 (324, 320) in the two-round tournament at the Par-72, 6,920-yard Rock Creek course. Brevard CC won the tournament at 34-over 310 (316, 294).
