Lady Rams Blast Lady Bison 8-1

MOBILE, Ala-- The 22nd-ranked University of Mobile softball team defeated Oklahoma Baptist 8-1 in a non-conference game Sunday afternoon. Mobile (16-3) will host SSAC foe Faulkner University Tuesday for a 4 pm doubleheader. Alli Hall got the win for the Lady Rams, limiting the Lady Bison to 1 run on 3 hits in a complete-game effort. She fanned 1 and walked 3. Noelle McDowell took the loss for OBU after giving up 7 runs (4 earned) on 7 hits in 3 innings of work.

No. 22 Lady Rams Split At WCU Invitational

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 22nd-ranked University of Mobile softball team split at the William Carey Invitational Friday, beating Oklahoma Baptist 6-0 and falling to 17th-ranked Union 5-1. Mobile (15-3) hosts Oklahoma Baptist for a doubleheader Sunday at 3 pm. In the opener, Kamaron Strickland needed only 65 pitches to toss a complete-game three-hit shutout. She walked none and struck out three.

No. 22 Lady Rams Split In Gold Bracket Play

GULF SHORES, Ala-- The University of Mobile softball team went 1-1 in gold bracket play at the 2012 Gulf Coast Invitational Sunday at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. Mobile opened with a 7-2 win over No. 14 Lindsey Wilson, before falling 2-3 to Martin Methodist to cap the day. Mobile (14-2) will play at the William Carey Invitational this weekend.

UMobile Softball Splits On Final Day Of Pool Play Action

GULF SHORES, Ala-- The University of Mobile softball team split a pair of games on the final day of pool play at the 2012 Gulf Coast Invitational Saturday. Mobile beat Madonna 1-0 and fell to Thomas University 1-4. Mobile (13-1) will play Sunday in bracket play with time and opponent to be determined. The day started with Brittney Kerr out-pitching Hallie Minch in the 1-0 win over the Crusaders. Kerr twirled 7 innings of 3-hit shutout ball while striking out 4 and walking 1. Minch gave up 1 run on 3 hits in 6 innings of work. Kerr did not allow a ball out of the infield until the 6th inning.

No. 22 Lady Rams Beat Tigers 3-1

MOBILE, Ala-- The 22nd-ranked University of Mobile softball team finished out the UM Classic with a 3-1 victory over Campbellsville University Wednesday. Mobile (11-0) will play in the Gulf Coast Invitational Friday-Sunday at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex. Alli Hall got the win after going the distance, allowing only 1 run on 3 hits, while striking out 8 batters and walking 5.

Palmer's Walk-Off Pinch-Hit RBI-Double Gives UM 2-1 Win

MOBILE, Ala-- Jessica Palmer's pinch-hit RBI-double lifted the 22nd-ranked University of Mobile softball team to a 2-1 victory over Notre Dame College on day two of the UMobile Classic Tuesday. Mobile (10-0) will host Campbellsville Wednesday at 6 pm to close out the tournament. Kamaron Strickland went the distance to get the win for Mobile, limiting the Falcon hitters to 1 run on 5 hits, while walking none and striking out a pair.
