Lady Rams Hold Off Faulkner Eagles For 5-Set Win

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team held on to defeat Faulkner University 3-2 (25-21, 22-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-11) in Southern States Athletic Conference action Tuesday. Mobile (11-9, 5-5) will play in the Faulkner University Tournament this weekend, beginning Friday at 1:30 pm v. St. Thomas. Kiara Gay led the Lady Rams with 23 kills, and added 16 digs for the double-double. Disah Kolassiba finished with 14 kills and six blocks for Mobile, while Alison Kenney added 12 kills and 11 digs.

Volleyball Completes 3-0 Weekend Wtih Straight-Set Win

GAINESVILLE, Ga-- The University of Mobile volleyball team capped an undefeated weekend at the Southern States Athletic Conference Cross-Over Tournament by defeating Emmanuel College 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-11) Saturday morning. Mobile (10-9, 4-5) hosts conference rival Faulkner University Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7:30 pm.

Lady Rams Win Pair On Day One Of SSAC Cross-Over

GAINESVILLE, Ga-- The University of Mobile volleyball team went 2-0 on day one of the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament in Gainesville, Ga. Friday. The Lady Rams beat Southern Wesleyan 3-1 (26-24, 26-24, 22-25, 25-17) to hand SWU their first conference loss of the season and then defeated Brenau 3-1 (25-23, 25-17, 26-28, 25-16). Mobile (9-9, 3-5) will battle Brewton-Parker Saturday at 9 am.

UMobile Volleyball Sweeps Dillard

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team picked up a home victory by sweeping former conference foe Dillard University 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-18) Saturday afternoon. Mobile (7-8, 1-4) visits SSAC foe Loyola University-New Orleans Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm. The Lady Rams out-hit the Bleu Devils .200 to .067 as a team and finished with a 5-1 edge in service aces.

No. 24 Badgers Top Lady Rams In Volleyball Action

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile fell 0-3 (17-25, 9-25, 13-25) to 24th-ranked Spring Hill College in Southern States Athletic Conference action Thursday evening. Mobile (6-8, 1-4) hosts Dillard University Saturday at 3 pm. Spring Hill moves to 17-0 overall and 5-0 in SSAC play.

Mobile Falls In Five Sets To SSAC Foe Belhaven

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team fell 2-3 (25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 24-26, 12-15) to Southern States Athletic Conference foe Belhaven Tuesday evening. Kiara Gay led the Lady Rams with 19 kills and 21 digs, while Lisa Alms added 11 kills and Melody Tenney had 10 kills, 11 digs and 36 assists. Mobile held an 8-1 advantage in service aces, but also had a 13-7 advantage in service errors. Katy McCollister added 18 digs for Mobile, while Sara Van Wert paced the team with six blocks.

Mobile Volleyball Splits On Final Day Of SSAC Cross-Over

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team split a pair of decisions on the final day of the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament Saturday. Mobile opened the day with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-12) win over Brewton-Parker University and then fell 0-3 (17-25, 16-25, 21-25) to 2nd-ranked Lee University. Mobile (6-6, 1-2) will host Belhaven University Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 pm. Against the Barons of Brewton-Parker, the Lady Rams' hit .342 as a team and held the Barons to a .047 hitting percentage.

Shorter Downs Mobile In SSAC Opener

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team opened Southern States Athletic Conference play at the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament Friday and fell 0-3 (15-25, 16-25, 16-25) to Shorter University. The tournament continues Saturday, with all matches being held at Spring Hill. Mobile (5-5, 0-1) will battle Brewton-Parker at 10 am and Lee University at 4 pm. Shorter out hit Mobile .185 to -.019, and neither team did much from the service line, with only seven combined aces.

West Florida Tops Mobile In Volleyball Action

PENSACOLA, Fla-- The University of Mobile volleyball team fell 0-3 (12-25, 14-25, 14-25) at NCAA-II affiliate University of West Florida. Mobile (5-4) will next play at the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament at Spring Hill Friday-Saturday. The Lady Rams will battle Shorter University Friday, Sept. 16 at 5 pm. West Florida controlled the match, out-hitting the Lady Rams .367 to .024. Lisa Alms led Mobile with eight kills and a .375 attack percentage, while Kiara Gay added 7 kills.
