MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 5th place after the opening round of the Alabama State University Fall Classic at Lagoon Park Monday. The Rams carded a 17-over 305 on day one, while Faulkner leads everyone with a 4-over 292. Host Alabama State sits in second with an 8-over 296. Zach Day leads the Rams with a 3-over 75 and sits in a tie for 8th place on the individual leaderboard.

MOBILE, Ala-- Alejandro Salcedo and Laile Stagner were honored with the release of the 2011 Southern States Athletic Conference men's golf awards. Salcedo, a senior from Bogota, Columbia, was one of 11 players chosen to the All-Conference Team and was also named to the All-Academic Team. He finished 4th at the Docuteam Invitational Mar. 21-22, finished 2nd at the MMC Redhawk Spring Invite May. 7-8 with a +4 148 (73, 75) and placed 5th at the Spring Hill Badger Invite Feb. 28-Mar. 1 with a +6 150 (74, 76).

COLUMBUS, Ga-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished play at the 2011 Southern States Athletic Conference Championship in 7th place Wednesday at Green Isle Country Club. The Rams carded a 3-round total of 66-over 930, while William Carey won the tournament and the automatic bid to the 2011 NAIA Men's Golf National Championships with a 6-over 870.

COLUMBUS, Ga-- The University of Mobile sits in 7th place after two rounds of play at the 2011 Southern States Athletic Conference Championships held at Green Isle Country Club. The Rams sit at +39 615 through Monday and Tuesday's rounds, with the final round to take place Wednesday. The winner of the tournament gets an automatic bid to the 2011 NAIA National Championships.

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished in 4th place at the Docuteam Invitational Tuesday at Barnsley Gardens Resort. Mobile fired a 3-round score of 73-over 937 (306, 330, 301) to finish 22 strokes behind tournament champ Shorter University, which finished +51 915 (305, 309, 301). The 301 each team shot in the final round was tied for the best score of the round.

The final round at the Par-72, 6679-Yard Barnsley Gardens Resort course will take place Tuesday. Mobile fired a 60-over 636 (306, 330), while host school Shorter University leads the field with a 38-over 614 (305, 309).

GULF SHORES, Ala-- The University of Mobile finished in 2nd place at the Martin Methodist College Redhawk Spring Invite Tuesday. The Rams finished with a 40-over 616 (304, 312) to finish three strokes behind tournament champ Union University, who finished at 37-over 613 (299, 314). Mobile's 2nd round score was tied for the best score of the round.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished 3rd at the Spring Hill Badger Invite. The Rams carded a +31 607 (303, 304) to finish eight strokes behind tournament winner Spring Hill, which shot a 23-over 599 (298, 301). Lindenwood came in 2nd with a 30-over 606 (308, 298).
