Mobile Men Fall To Oklahoma City

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team fell 2-1 to Oklahoma City Saturday afternoon on the final day of the University of Mobile Soccer Classic, as the Stars tallied a pair of second-half goals to pick up the win. The Rams controlled the first half with a 10-6 edge in shots and a 4-1 edge in shots on target, and took a 1-0 lead into intermission when Onesimus Ikungo knocked in a perfect cross from Gerardo Flores in the 19th minute.

Rams Bounce Bison 2-0

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team bested Oklahoma Baptist 2-0 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex Friday afternoon in the University of Mobile Soccer Classic. The Rams out-shot the visitors 18-7 in the contest and got a pair of late goals to change the game from a scoreless tie to a comfortable 2-0 victory. Cedric Carrie tallied Mobile's first goal at 77:35 when he worked his way inside the 18-yard box and struck the ball into the back of the net for the 1-0 lead.

UM Knocks Off No. 10 Embry-Riddle

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team (2-4) picked up a much-needed victory Saturday, upsetting NAIA No. 10 Embry-Riddle 1-0. In a physical contest that featured 10 yellow cards, the Rams made David Maddren's goal in the 65th minute stand up. Maddren scored by knocking home a loose ball in the box off a corner kick from Ruben Diaz.

Mobile Falls 0-1 At Home Tournament

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team continued to struggle on offense, and fell 0-1 to University of Texas at Brownsville Friday on day one of UM's Rumble at the Jungle. The Rams (1-4) have now only scored two goals in five games on the season, despite nearly equaling the shot attempts of the victorious UTB Scorpions. UT-Brownsville finished with 14 shots to 12 for Mobile, while both teams put 6 shots on target.

UM Falls To No. 2 Concordia-Irvine

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team battled NAIA No. 2 Concordia University - Irvine to the end Saturday, but ended up falling 2-1 on the opening day of the University of Mobile Kick-Off Classic. Concordia only out-shot Mobile 14-11 in the game, but finished with a 7-2 edge in shots on target, two of which found the back of the net before Mobile could put a tally up on the scoreboard.

Rams Even Record With 1-0 Win

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 9th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team picked up its first victory of the season Saturday, defeating Marian University 1-0 on the final day of the Capital City Classic at Auburn University-Montgomery. The Rams dominated the game, out-shooting the Knights of Marian 23-1, including a 15-0 edge in shots on goal. With that stellar defensive effort, the Rams needed only one of those 23 shots to find the back of the net, and that happened just 6 minutes into play.

UM Drops Opener 1-0

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 9th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Martin Methodist College in their season opener Friday at Auburn-Montgomery's Capital City Classic. Martin Methodist's Tiago Reichert knocked home a pass from teammate Justin Hardin in the 72nd minute for the winning tally.
