MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team defeated Columbia 2-1 in the Round of 16 at the 2012 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Tuesday afternoon. Mobile (15-4-2) advances to face Concordia Wednesday at 1:30 pm in the Round of 8.

Press Book) Sixteen teams are ready to tangle in the 54th annual NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship final site, presented by Carrabba's Italian Grill in Montgomery, Ala. The championship kicks-off with No. 4 seed Rio Grande (Ohio) facing Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) at 11 a.m. CST on Nov. 26. There are eight second-round matches scheduled before quarterfinal play on Nov. 28, the semifinals on Nov. 30 and the national championship final on Dec. 1 at 3 p.m.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 7th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team tied Texas Wesleyan 0-0 (2OT) in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round, but Mobile advances to the final site of the NAIA National Championship in Montgomery, Ala., Nov. 26 - Dec. 1 on penalty kicks (7-6). Mobile (14-4-2) will battle No. 10 Columbia Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 1:30 pm.

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team will host Texas Wesleyan in a NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round game Saturday at a time to be determined. There are 16 Opening Round matches taking place Nov. 17, and those winners will advance to the 54th annual national championship final site held at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex in Montgomery, Ala., Nov. 26 - Dec 1. The 32 teams are comprised of 24 automatic qualifiers awarded to conference/independent/unaffiliated group tournament and regular season champions and eight at-large teams, selected by the final NAIA Men's Soccer MRPI.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 6th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team fell to 13th-ranked Southern Poly 1-0 in the SSAC Semifinals Thursday afternoon. Mobile (14-4-1) receives a bid to the 2012 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship due to winning the SSAC Regular Season Championship. Nationals will take place Nov. 26 - Dec. 1 in Montgomery, Ala.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2012 men's soccer year-end awards Wednesday evening, and the University of Mobile was well-represented. Stephen Okai was named the SSAC Player of the Year, Chris Dillon was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Gaetan Massiah was named Freshman of the Year. All three were named 1st-Team All-Conference and Dillon was also the team's Musco Lighting Champion of Character recipient.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 7th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team knocked off visiting Lee University 3-0 Saturday to advance to the SSAC Quarterfinals. Mobile (14-3-1, 9-2) will play at a time to be determined Nov. 8 in Montgomery, Ala. The Rams out shot Lee 23-13 and finished with a 9-4 edge in shots on frame.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile has announced game times for Saturday's men's and women's soccer SSAC Tournament games, and altered the times of Saturday's season-opening basketball games. Women's soccer will host Truett-McConnell at 1 pm, followed by the men hosting Lee University at 3 pm. Women's basketball will host Fisk University at 5 pm, followed by men's basketball battling Fisk at 7 pm.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 9th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team won the 2012 Southern States Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship by beating rival Spring Hill 3-1 Saturday. Mobile (13-3-1, 9-2) won the regular season title last year and the tournament championship in 2010. The Rams will host an opening round game of the SSAC Tournament Saturday, Nov. 3, with time and opponent TBA.
