MOBILE, Ala-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics released the pairings for the 2012 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship Tuesday. The University of Mobile's first round opponent will be No. 10 seed Point Loma Nazarene (Calif.). The Rams are the 23rd seed in the tournament. Opening round matches will take place May 15 at 1 pm. The tournament is being held at the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center. All men's matches during the tourney will be at 1 pm, and the Championship will be May 19 at 2 pm.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team is makings its fifth-straight trip to the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Monday. The Rams earned the host berth. Twenty-four teams will converge on the Copeland-Cox Tennis Center May 15-19. Bracket and pairings will be announced Tuesday. Twelve teams qualified by winning their conference tournaments, there were 10 at-large selections and Fresno Pacific qualified by winning the GSAC regular-season title.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team capped the 2012 regular season with an 8-0 win over rival Spring Hill College. Mobile (7-5, 2-2) earns the host bid to the 2012 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship May 15-19 at the Mobile Tennis Center. The Rams swept doubles play, and then kept the momentum going in singles action. Fernando Paiva-Karlis Stonis, Guilherme Arcaro-Lucas Tristao and Enzo Correa-Beau Bryars won in doubles play.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team had several student-athletes honored with the release of the Southern States Athletic Conference year-end awards. Fernando Paiva, a junior from Brazil, was named the SSAC Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. Paiva compiled a 5-1 record at No. 1 singles for the Rams, and teamed up with Karlis Stonis to go 5-4 at No. 1 doubles.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 15th-ranked Belhaven University Blazers defeated the University of Mobile 5-0 at the 2012 SSAC Men's Tennis Tournament Friday. The Rams (6-5, 2-2) will host rival Spring Hill Wednesday at a time to be announced. The Blazers' Nicolas Osario and Gabriel Prado held of the Rams' Fernando Paiva and Karlis Stonis 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, and took the other two doubles matches by 8-2 and 8-3 margins.

JACKSON, Miss-- The 15th-ranked Belhaven University Blazers defeated the University of Mobile 8-1 in Southern States Athletic Conference men's tennis action Saturday. Mobile (6-4, 2-2) is receiving votes in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll and will next compete at the 2012 SSAC Tournament April 19-21 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Ala. Fernando Paiva and Karlis Stonis put up a battle before falling 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, but the Blazers took the other two doubles matches by a combined 16-2 margin.

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team cruised by non-conference opponent Tougaloo College in a pair of matches Friday, winning the first match 8-0, and following that with a 9-0 victory. The teams played a pair to make up for an earlier postponed match. Mobile (6-3, 2-2) visits No. 15 Belhaven Saturday at 1 pm. In the opener, the doubles tandems of Lucas Tristao-Guilherme Aarcaro, Billy Musgrove-Clint Key and Fernando Paiva-Kyle Kirkpatrick won their three matches by a combined 24-6 margin to put the Rams ahead 3-0.

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team fell at NCAA-III affiliate Millsaps College 4-5 Thursday evening. Mobile (4-3, 2-2) will visit Tougaloo College for a pair of matches April 13 at 2 and 5 pm. The Rams took a 2-1 lead after doubles play, thanks to wins from the teams of Lucas Tristao-Guilherme Arcaro and Enzo Correa-Bruno Marques.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team dominated Spring Hill College by an 8-1 score in Southern States Athletic Conference action Tuesday. Mobile (4-1, 2-1) next plays at Millsaps College March 30 at 1 pm. Spring Hill managed only a win at No. 2 doubles, but the Rams took the other two doubles matches by 8-4 and 8-2 scores.
