GULFPORT, Miss-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team ousted Southern Poly 2-0 to win the 2010 SSAC Men's Soccer Tournament Championship Saturday. Mobile (15-3-2) will next play in the 2010 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship Nov. 29 - Dec. 4 in Orange Beach, Ala. Southern Poly out shot Mobile 11-7 and held a 6-3 edge in shots on target, but the Mobile defense held up and the Mobile offense used a pair of free kicks to score.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 2nd-ranked Lee University Lady Flames defeated the 14th-ranked University of Mobile 2-1 in the 2010 SSAC Women's Soccer Championship game Saturday. Lee (17-2-1) and Mobile (12-6-1) both will advance to the 2010 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship. Mobile will play in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round Saturday, Nov. 20 versus an opponent to be determined.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The University of Mobile volleyball team fell 0-3 (20-25, 28-30, 18-25) to Shorter University in the SSAC Tournament Quarterfinals Friday evening at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Kelly Sherling led Mobile with 10 kills and hit .318, while Alyson Kovacs added 7 kills and 3 blocks and Shea McBee finished with 6 kills and 4 blocks. Katy McCollister led with 13 digs, Melody Tenney finished with 17 assists and 4 aces, and Kaylee McGrew added 15 assists for Mobile.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 8th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team blasted Shorter University 4-1 in the SSAC Semifinals Thursday. Mobile (14-3-2) will advance to the SSAC Finals Saturday at 7:30 pm versus Southern Poly at the Gulfport Sportsplex. Mobile dominated from the get-go with a 12-4 shot advantage in the opening half and two first-half goals.

GULFPORT, Miss-- The 14th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team knocked off 11th-ranked William Carey University 3-1 in the SSAC Semifinals Thursday evening. Mobile (12-5-1) advances to the SSAC Championship game Saturday at 5 pm versus 2nd-ranked Lee University and automatically secures a bid to the NAIA Women's Soccer National Championships. The Opening Round will take place Nov. 20 at sites to be determined.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team held off visiting Texas College for a 74-63 non-conference victory Thursday evening in NAIA basketball action. Mobile (3-1) hosts Trinity Baptist College (Fla.) Monday, Nov. 15 at 7:30 pm. Ji Kimbrough led the Rams with 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Brock Dockery added 18 points and 9 boards while hitting 4-of-7 from 3-point range.

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team hit the road Tuesday and took down non-conference foe SUNO 77-59. The Rams (2-1) will return home to host Texas College Thursday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 pm. SUNO falls to 0-1 on the season. Mobile dominated from the beginning, building a 49-27 lead at the half, and leading by as much as 25 in the game. Mobile out rebounded the Knights 49-34.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team fell 0-3 (25-27, 14-25, 20-25) to 23rd-ranked NCAA-II University of West Florida to close out the regular season Monday. Mobile (15-15) will head into the SSAC Tournament Nov. 12-13 at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gulfport, Miss., as the #3 seed from the West Division and face 2nd-seed Shorter University Friday at 5:45 pm in the opening round.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 14th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer bounced visiting Southern Wesleyan University 2-0 in SSAC Tournament action Saturday evening. Mobile (11-5-1, 4-1) advances to the SSAC Semifinals Thursday, Nov. 11 in Gulfport, Miss., with opponent and time to be announced. Kassie Ruff tallied the game-winner for the Lady Rams with an unassisted goal in the 21st minute.
