Rams Split Pair With Badgers

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team split Saturday's Gulf Coast Athletic Conference doubleheader at Spring Hill, winning the opener 5-1 and falling 10-0 in the finale.

Michael Clay pitched the Rams to a 5-1 win in game one of Saturday's doubleheader at Spring Hill. The lefty tossed a complete-game, three-hitter while allowing only one run to score. He fanned three and walked three.

Park Tops Mobile 5-4

MOBILE, Ala-- A pair of 2-out, 2-run homeruns sent Park University to a 5-4 victory over the University of Mobile in NAIA softball action Wednesday. The teams were scheduled to play two games, but a 1 hour 45 minute rain delay in game one canceled the second game. Justine Riner picked up the win for Park, allowing only 1 earned run on 4 hits in 7 innings of action.

Lady Rams Host Gulf Coast Invitational

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 18th-ranked University of Mobile softball team will host the 2010 Gulf Coast Invitational March 12-14 at the Orange Beach and Gulf Shores Sportsplexes. The tournament will feature 27 teams battling it out in pool play action Friday and Saturday, with bracket play taking place Sunday. There are five different pools of teams, with three pools at Gulf Shores and two at Orange Beach.

Badgers Rally Past Rams In Game One

MOBILE, Ala-- The Spring Hill College Badgers scored three runs in the 7th inning on Friday night to rally past the University of Mobile Rams 7-5 at Stan Galle Field.

With the score 5-3 in favor of Mobile, the Badgers used four hits to score three runs and take a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Mobile Women Win SHC Invite

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's golf team won the 2010 Spring Hill Badger Invite Tuesday at the Spring Hill Golf Club. The Lady Rams finished 127-over 703 (348, 355), 29 strokes ahead of the Lady Badgers (+156, 371, 361). Lindenwood finished 3rd at 173-over 749 and Faulkner finished 4th at 243-over 819.

Rams Split Non-Conference DH With Scots

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team split Tuesday's doubleheader with visiting Lyon College, rallying to win the opener 11-8 in 7 innings, and falling 4-3 in the 7-inning finale.

In the opener, Mobile pounded out 14 hits and scored four runs in each of the 5th and 6th innings to rally from 6-3 and 8-7 deficits.

UM Upsets 8th-Ranked Martin Methodist

MOBILE, Ala-- The 18th-ranked University of Mobile softball team upended 8th-ranked Martin Methodist College 3-2 in 8 innings to close out the University of Mobile Classic Sunday evening. Kamaron Strickland picked up the complete-game win for Mobile after allowing only 1 earned run on 5 hits in 8 innings of work, while fanning 6 and walking 1.
