Poor First Half Sinks Rams At Home Against SUNO

MOBILE, Ala-- A porous first half doomed the University of Mobile men's basketball team to a 65-73 loss at home to visiting SUNO Friday evening. Mobile (5-7, 1-3) visits Southern Wesleyan Friday, Jan. 6 at a time to be announced. Ji Kimbrough led Mobile with 21 points, while Antonio Hester finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds. Brock Dockery pulled in 8 boards for Mobile, while Cody Scott scored 9 points off the bench.

Lady Rams Fall By 9 In Non-Conference Game

BETHANY, Okla-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 58-67 to Science & Arts (Okla.) Thursday in road action. Mobile (3-9) visits Southern Wesleyan Friday, Jan. 6 at 5:30 pm for a SSAC contest. Briana Edwards led Mobile with 13 points, Courtney Bayliss added 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from 3-point range and Alice Honnery finished with 11 points, 10 boards and 6 blocks to lead Mobile.

Lady Rams Fall At No. 15 Southern Nazarene

BETHANY, Okla-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 58-75 at 15th-ranked Southern Nazarene University Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. Alice Honnery led Mobile with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Daphnee Frieson added 13 points and 6 boards off the bench on 5-of-9 shooting. Lauren Bethly added 8 points, while nobody else for Mobile tallied more than 3 points.

UMobile Men Run Past Life 104-84

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team scored 67 second-half points to race past the Running Eagles of Life University 104-84 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. Mobile (5-6) hosts Southern University at New Orleans Friday, Dec. 30 at 7:30 pm. All five of the UMobile starters scored in double figures in the game.

NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship Moving To Orange Beach

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has awarded the 2012 and 2013 Women’s Soccer National Championships to Orange Beach, Ala. The 29th and 30th annual events will take place at the Orange Beach Sportsplex and will be co-hosted by the Gulf Shores & Orange Beach Sports Commission and the University of Mobile. The 2012 National Championship is scheduled for Nov. 26 – Dec. 1, with the 2013 tournament taking place Dec. 2 – 7.

Mobile Men Fall Despite Shooting 54% For The Game

MOBILE, Ala-- Carver Bible College defeated the University of Mobile 83-79 in men's basketball action Saturday at Pharr Gym. The Rams (4-6) host Life University Saturday, Dec. 17 at 3 pm. Mobile lost despite out shooting Carver 54% to 49% from the floor, 47% to 40% from 3-point range and making four more free throws.

Rams Roll Past Hornets By 31 At Home

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team rolled past visiting Concordia College-Selma 86-55 in non-conference basketball action Friday evening. Mobile (4-5) hosts Carver Bible College Saturday at 7 pm. The Rams shot 54% for the game, including a scorching 63% in the second half that saw Mobile outscore the Hornets 53-26. Antonio Hester led the Rams with 22 points, Christian Salinas added 14, Cody Scott finished with 11 points and 6 boards and Spencer Duke added 10 points for Mobile.
