MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team picked up a home victory by sweeping former conference foe Dillard University 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-18) Saturday afternoon. Mobile (7-8, 1-4) visits SSAC foe Loyola University-New Orleans Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 pm. The Lady Rams out-hit the Bleu Devils .200 to .067 as a team and finished with a 5-1 edge in service aces.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 2nd-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team steamrolled Shorter University 8-0 to open SSAC action Friday evening at Mobile. The Rams (5-0, 1-0) will host conference foe Lee University Saturday at 7 pm. Mobile dominated action from the get-go, finishing with a 32-5 edge in shots taken and a 13-3 edge in shots on target.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 11th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team opened Southern States Athletic Conference play by routing visiting Shorter University 6-1 Friday evening. The Lady Rams (5-1, 1-0) will host 3rd-ranked Lee University Saturday, Sept. 24 at 5 pm. Mobile out shot the Hawks 21-12, including a 13-6 edge in shots on target. Lorna Brownlie made five saves in goal for the Lady Rams.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile fell 0-3 (17-25, 9-25, 13-25) to 24th-ranked Spring Hill College in Southern States Athletic Conference action Thursday evening. Mobile (6-8, 1-4) hosts Dillard University Saturday at 3 pm. Spring Hill moves to 17-0 overall and 5-0 in SSAC play.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team fell 2-3 (25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 24-26, 12-15) to Southern States Athletic Conference foe Belhaven Tuesday evening. Kiara Gay led the Lady Rams with 19 kills and 21 digs, while Lisa Alms added 11 kills and Melody Tenney had 10 kills, 11 digs and 36 assists. Mobile held an 8-1 advantage in service aces, but also had a 13-7 advantage in service errors. Katy McCollister added 18 digs for Mobile, while Sara Van Wert paced the team with six blocks.

CLEVELAND, Miss-- Zach Day tied for 1st and the University of Mobile men's golf team finished in a tie for 6th place at the Derrall Foreman Invitational Saturday. Mobile carded a 16-over 592 (300, 292) at the Par-72, 6515-yard course. Host school Delta State won the tournament with a 1-over 577 (291, 286), while North Alabama placed 2nd with a 2-over 578 (288, 290).

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team ran to a 4th place finish at the USA Azalea City Classic Saturday morning at Brookley Field. The meet was a 6K run. Mobile clocked in at 2:31:49.84 as a team, while South Alabama won the meet with a time of 1:58:32.43.

MOBILE, Ala-- The UMobile men's cross country team finished 5th at the University of South Alabama Azalea City Classic Saturday. The 8K run was held at Brookley Field. Mobile turned in a team time of 2:51:37 with 117 points, while South Alabama won the meet with a time of 2:16 and 15 points.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team split a pair of decisions on the final day of the SSAC Cross-Over Tournament Saturday. Mobile opened the day with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-12) win over Brewton-Parker University and then fell 0-3 (17-25, 16-25, 21-25) to 2nd-ranked Lee University. Mobile (6-6, 1-2) will host Belhaven University Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 7:30 pm. Against the Barons of Brewton-Parker, the Lady Rams' hit .342 as a team and held the Barons to a .047 hitting percentage.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 15th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team toppled 5th-ranked Martin Methodist 1-0 on Christy Lachappelle's overtime goal. Mobile (4-1-1) will host Shorter University Friday, Sept. 13 at 4 pm to open Southern States Athletic Conference play. The Lady Rams won despite getting out shot 16-4, as Lorna Brownlie made five saves to pick up the shutout victory.
