MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team finished in 3rd place at the Badger Brawl Saturday morning at Municipal Park. Spring Hill took 1st, followed by Huntingdon, Mobile and Auburn-Montgomery. Pacing the Lady Rams was Katelyn Osborne, who finished in 4th place overall with a time of 21:49 in the 5K run.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- A 4-0 second-half Mobile lead turned in to a 5-4 double-overtime victory over Westminster College for the University of Mobile women's soccer team Saturday at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Playing the role of hero for Mobile was 2010 3rd-Team NAIA All-American Christy Lachappelle. The junior took a pass from Molley Ward, juked a defender and kicked the ball into the far corner with only 1:35 left in the final overtime period.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 2nd-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 2-0 shutout win over University of Texas-Brownsville on the final day of the UMobile Soccer Classic Saturday. The Rams have outscored their opponents 15-1 in the four victories thus far. They next play Friday, Sept. 23 at home at 6 pm against conference foe Shorter University. While Deshorn Brown has done much of the scoring in the early part of the season, it was the Eoin Dolan show at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile volleyball team cruised past Tougaloo College 3-0 (25-9, 25-6, 25-18) Saturday in non-conference action. Mobile (5-3) will visit University of West Florida Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7 pm.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 22nd-ranked UMobile women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season by blanking 19th-ranked Carroll College 4-0 on day one of the UMobile Soccer Classic at the Orange Beach Sportsplex Friday evening. Mobile (1-1-1) will play Westminster College Saturday at 7 pm to cap the tournament.

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 2nd-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team crushed NCAA-III foe Mississippi College by a 6-0 score Friday evening at the UMobile Soccer Classic. Mobile (3-0) will battle Univ. of Texas-Brownsville Saturday at 5 pm on the final day of the tournament being held at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. The Rams dominated from the get-go, with three goals in each half and a 25-7 shot advantage. Fourteen of those shots were on target for the Rams, while Mobile goal keeper Xavier Audergon grabbed three saves in the shutout effort.

KANSAS CITY, Mo—Former University of Mobile men’s soccer coach Peter Fuller will be inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame, as announced by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. Currently an assistant coach with the New England Revolution, Fuller is one of 18 members of the 2011-12 Hall of Fame class. The induction ceremony will take place in Orange Beach, Ala., at the 2011 NAIA Men’s Soccer National Championship Nov. 28 – Dec. 3.

MEMPHIS, Tenn-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team placed 22nd at the Brooks Memphis Twilight XC Classic Saturday evening to start the 2011 season. The 4 mile run took place at the Mike Rose Complex. Two hundred runners competed, with the majority of the teams being NCAA affiliates. The Rams turned in a team time of 2:11:43.16.
