MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team finished the season at the SSAC Tournament Thursday, falling twice in pool play action. Mobile lost to Lee University 0-3 (14-25, 21-25, 20-25) in the first match of the day and then fell 0-3 (18-25, 23-25, 20-25) to Emmanuel. Mobile finishes the season at 24-13. Against Lee, Kiara Gay led with 11 kills and 9 digs, while Bailey Nations added 9 kills and hit .350, and Disah Kolassiba added 7 kills with a .267 hitting percentage.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 6th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team fell to 13th-ranked Southern Poly 1-0 in the SSAC Semifinals Thursday afternoon. Mobile (14-4-1) receives a bid to the 2012 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship due to winning the SSAC Regular Season Championship. Nationals will take place Nov. 26 - Dec. 1 in Montgomery, Ala.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 2nd-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team earned numerous year-end awards, as announced by the Southern States Athletics Conference Wednesday evening. Bekah Counce, Christy Lachappelle and Olivia Maddox earned 1st-Team All-Conference honors, while Jesslyn Fagundes, Melissa Maddox, Gillian McMahon and Rebekah Spalding earned 2nd-Team All-Conference honors.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The Southern States Athletic Conference released the 2012 men's soccer year-end awards Wednesday evening, and the University of Mobile was well-represented. Stephen Okai was named the SSAC Player of the Year, Chris Dillon was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Gaetan Massiah was named Freshman of the Year. All three were named 1st-Team All-Conference and Dillon was also the team's Musco Lighting Champion of Character recipient.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 54-77 at NCAA-I University of Southern Mississippi in an exhibition contest. Mobile was led by Deonica McCormick with 18 points, while Briana Edwards added 12 points and 9 rebounds and Leana Tajkov finished with 10 points. Tajkov went 5-of-9 from the floor, while McCormick was 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team closed out the regular season with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-12, 25-23, 25-15) non-conference win over Dillard University Monday. Mobile (24-11) will next play at the 2012 SSAC Tournament Nov. 8-10 in Montgomery, Ala., as the No. 8 seed. Mobile will face Lee University Thursday at 10 am and Emmanuel at 3 pm.

CLINTON, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team finished 10th at the 2012 SSAC Championship Saturday. The 5K meet was held at Choctaw Trails. Mobile finished with 285 points and a time of 1:55:53, while Lee won the championship with 72 points and a time of 1:40:59.

CLINTON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team finished 11th at the 2012 SSAC Championships Saturday. Mobile finished with 302 points and a team time of 2:41:50 at the 8K meet held at Choctaw Trails. Emmanuel won the championship with 25 points and a time of 2:11:51.

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's basketball team opened the 2012-13 season with an 89-81 home win over Fisk University Saturday. Mobile (1-0) hosts Pensacola Christian College Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 pm. Chris Richardson led the team with 26 points on 11-of-19 shooting, Dominick Brumfield added 19 points and 14 rebounds off the bench, and both Kwame Beard and Marcus Polnett finished with 10 points for Mobile.
