HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The 11th-ranked William Carey University men's tennis team defeated the University of Mobile 9-0 in Southern States Athletic Conference action Tuesday. Mobile (4-2, 2-2) next plays April 13 at Tougaloo College.

HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team fell 0-9 at 9th-ranked William Carey University in SSAC action Tuesday afternoon. Mobile (5-4, 1-3) will visit Tougaloo College April 13 at 2 pm.

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga-- The University of Mobile men's golf team placed 2nd at the 2012 Reeder Cup Tuesday. The Rams fired a 71-over 631 (313, 318) at the Par-70 Lookout Mountain Golf Club. LaGrange College won the tournament with a +56 616 (310, 306). Host Covenant College finished 3rd with a 73-over 633 (321, 312).

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga-- The University of Mobile golf team sits in 2nd place after one round of play at the 2012 Spring Reeder Cup, hosted by Covenant College Monday. The Rams shot a collective 33-over 313 to sit only three strokes behind leader LaGrange College. Final round will take place Tuesday.

MOBILE, Ala-- The 7th-ranked William Carey University Lady Crusaders rallied late to sweep both games of a SSAC doubleheader over the 24th-ranked University of Mobile softball team Monday. Mobile dropped the opener 3-1 and fell in the finale 4-2. Mobile (21-9, 3-6) visits Belhaven University Friday, April 6 for a 1 pm conference twin bill. William Carey moves to 29-6 overall and 6-2 in conference. Game one saw Alyssa Boutwell out-duel Kamaron Strickland to get the win. Boutwell limited Mobile to 1 run on 6 hits, while striking out 4 in a complete-game effort. Strickland took the loss after giving up 3 runs on 8 hits in 6.2 innings of work.

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 16th-ranked Auburn University-Montgomery Warhawks took the rubber match from the University of Mobile 6-5 Sunday to take the three-game SSAC baseball series. Mobile (18-19, 10-11) visits University of New Orleans Tuesday at 6:30 pm. Forrest Holifield picked up the win for AUM with 3 innings of one-hit shutout relief. Blake Hanson was tagged with the loss for Mobile after giving up 5 earned runs on 10 hits in 7.1 innings of work.
