No. 6 Lady Rams Fall Against No. 4 Embry-Riddle

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 6th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team fell 1-3 to 4th-ranked Embry-Riddle at the Orange Beach Sportsplex Saturday evening. Mobile (4-2-1) next plays at SSAC foe Brenau Sept. 21 at 4:30 PM CST. Embry-Riddle finished the game with a 12-3 edge in shots and a 6-2 edge in shots on target.

Lady Rams Sweep Faulkner In Road Action

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball team cruised past Faulkner University 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-11) in Southern States Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon. Mobile (11-4, 2-1) will next play at Xavier University Sept. 18 at 7 pm. Kiara Gay led the Lady Rams with 16 kills, while hitting .500 and Bailey Nations hit .632 on her way to racking up 14 kills, Courtney Fenwick led with 17 digs and Reagin Boggs finished with 37 assists.

Rams Place 3rd At Derrall Foreman Invitational

CLEVELAND, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team finished in 3rd place at the Derrall Foreman Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Rams sat in 4th after Friday's opening 18 holes, and managed to move up on the leaderboard Saturday, finishing the tournament at +3 579 (292, 287). Union University won the tournament with a 34-under 542 (270, 272), while Delta State finished 2nd at 16-under 560 (281, 279).

Lady Rams Run As Individuals At Azalea City Classic

MOBILE, Ala.-- The University of Mobile women's cross country team had three individual runners run at the 2012 Azalea City Classic Saturday morning. The Lady Rams did not qualify as a team at the 6K run held at Brookley Pines Golf Course. Sarah LeCroy finished 91st individually with a time of 28:06.50, Allie Wheeler clocked in at 30:01.16 and Katelyn Osborne finished at 33:45.99.

UMobile Men's Cross Country Runs At Azalea City Classic

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team finished 13th at the 2012 Azalea City Classic Saturday morning. The 8K meet was held at the Brookley Pines Golf Course. The Rams finished with 378 points and a team time of 2:36:00, while Auburn won the meet with 22 points and a time of 2:09:00. William Carey was the top NAIA school with 146 points and a time of 2:17:08.

No. 21 UMobile Men Blank No. 15 Scorpions

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 21st-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team blanked 15th-ranked UT-Brownsville 2-0 Friday at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Mobile (3-1-1) will battle Embry-Riddle Saturday at 7:30 pm at the sportsplex. The Rams dominated the tempo from the get-go, finishing with a 25-7 advantage in shots and an 11-2 edge in shots on goal.

UMobile Volleyball Falls At No. 5 Lee

CLEVELAND, Tenn-- The University of Mobile volleyball team fell 0-3 (22-25, 12-25, 14-25) at 5th-ranked Lee University Friday in Southern States Athletic Conference action. Mobile (10-4, 1-1) plays at Faulkner University Saturday at 1 pm. Lee out hit Mobile .248 to -.11 and finished with a 9-3 edge in team blocks.

No. 6 Lady Rams Battle No. 1 Concordia To Double-OT Tie

ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 6th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team battled top-ranked Concordia University to a 1-1 double-overtime tie at the Orange Beach Sportsplex Friday evening. Mobile (4-1-1) will battle 4th-ranked Embry-Riddle in the NAIA Game of the Week Saturday at 4:30 pm at the sportsplex. Alex Blalock put Concordia up 1-0 in the 38th minute, when she took a feed from Alicia Alarcon-Evans in the 18-yard box and had just the keeper to beat.

UMobile Men's Golf Sits In 4th Place

CLEVELAND, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 4th place after the opening round of the Derrall Foreman Invitational, hosted by Delta State University Friday. The Rams fired a 4-over 292 on the opening 18 holes, while Union University leads the field after carding a -18 270. Mobile is four strokes behind 3rd place Lindenwood and two strokes ahead of Centenary College.

Lady Rams Open SSAC Play With 3-2 Win Over Loyola

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile volleyball opened up Southern States Athletic Conference play by beating Loyola University 3-2 (25-20, 25-14, 29-31, 18-25, 15-13) at Pharr Gym Tuesday evening. Mobile (10-3, 1-0) will visit Lee University Friday, Sept. 14 at 4 pm. Kiara Gay led the way with 16 kills, 16 digs, 4 aces and 3 blocks, while Bailey Nations put away 13 kills and Courtney Fenwick paced the team with 27 digs. Reagin Boggs had 37 assists and Sara Van Wert finished with 10 blocks.
