Mobile Men Place 10th At SSAC XC Championships

CLINTON, Miss-- The UMobile men's cross country team placed 10th at the 2011 SSAC Championships Saturday morning at Choctaw Trails.

The Rams finished the 8K meet with a total time of 2:42:27.82, while Shorter University won the championship with a time of 2:09:42.66.

Emmanuel finished 2nd at 2:15:13.58.

Zach Gaines led the Rams with a time of 31:02.28 and placed 59th overall, while Mark Meadows crossed the finish line at 31:22.75 to place 63rd.

Jayme Snellgrove finished with a time of 32:33.90, Chase Amerson clocked in at 32:50.46, Emil Verde finished at 34:37.43 and Jeffrey Caviness finished with a time of 39:35.82.

Shorter's Eliud Ng'etich won the individual championship with a time of 25:32.32, while his teammate, Daniel Sorenson, finished 2nd at 25:35.34.
