HAMMOND, La-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 45-54 in an exhibition contest at Southeastern Louisiana University Saturday afternoon.

Mobile (2-5) will visit Alabama State Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 6 pm in another exhibition contest.

Alice Honnery paced Mobile with 13 points, 13 rebounds and 7 blocks, but was the only player to score in double figures. Allison Michael was next with 7 points, while two players finished with six.

Aja Gibson was the lone SELU player in double figures with 13 points.

Both teams shot 35% from the floor, and neither team was a factor from the free throw line with only ten combined free throws made between the two squads. Mobile shot 17% from 3-point range and SELU shot 11%.

The Lady Rams did turn the ball over 23 times and SELU held a 17-11 edge in offensive boards to help make up for the porous shooting.

Over the next 7:40, SELU went on a 13-2 run to grab a 21-11 lead. Mobile trimmed the deficit to 24-22 late, but Jessica Sommers' 3-pointer with 13 ticks left made it 27-22 SELU at the break.

In the second half, the closest Mobile got was within four at 33-29 with 13:23 left, but SELU answered with an 11-3 run to grab a 44-32 advantage. Down the stretch, they led by as much as 16 points.
