MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile baseball team dropped a pair of 7-inning games to visiting Talladega College Saturday at Jacobs Field, falling 4-8 in the opener and 2-4 in the finale.

After the Rams scored first with a single tally in the 1st inning, the Tornadoes plated 4 runs in the 2nd inning thanks to six walks and a hit-batsman.

Mobile pushed across runs in the 3rd and 4th to head to the 5th down 5-3, but Talladega got a RBI-double from Hector Justo and a RBI-triple from George Santiago to put the game away in a 3-run 5th.

Blake Hanson took the loss in the second game after allowing 1 earned run (2 runs) on 3 walks and 0 hits in 2.1 innings of relief. James Rodriguez got the win for Talladega with 6 innings of 7-hit, 2-run ball.

The Tornadoes scored in the 3rd and 4th frames to go ahead 2-0, but the Rams put up 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th on 3 hits. Phillips doubled to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with 1 out in the frame and Ryan Parazine grounded home one run and Granger singled home Phillips to tie it.

The score stayed that way until the 7th, when three-straight one-out walks started the Talladega rally. A Mobile error followed to plate winning run. Ryan Waltman and Justin Beck led off the 7th with singles for the Rams, but three shallow pops ended the game.
