UMobile Men's Tennis Opens With 9-0 Win

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team opened the 2012 season with a shutout 9-0 victory over SSAC foe Loyola University Saturday in New Orleans.

The Rams breezed through doubles play, taking two matches 8-2, to take a 3-0 advantage.

In singles action, Mobile dropped only one set, but Fernando Paiva came back to take No. 1 singles 4-6, 7-5 (10-8), while the 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th slots lost only seven games total.

Mobile (1-0) hosts Emmanuel College Feb. 18 at 9 am.
