Rams Cruise Past Tougaloo College

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team cruised by non-conference opponent Tougaloo College in a pair of matches Friday, winning the first match 8-0, and following that with a 9-0 victory. The teams played a pair to make up for an earlier postponed match.

Mobile (6-3, 2-2) visits No. 15 Belhaven Saturday at 1 pm.

In the opener, the doubles tandems of Lucas Tristao-Guilherme Aarcaro, Billy Musgrove-Clint Key and Fernando Paiva-Kyle Kirkpatrick won their three matches by a combined 24-6 margin to put the Rams ahead 3-0.

The Rams continued to cruise in singles play, with Arcaro and Kirkpatrick winning 6-0, 6-0, Key winning 6-1, 6-0 and Enzo Correa winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles.

The finale saw the Rams win all three doubles matches by that same 24-6 margin, and go on to cruise in singles play. They won 8-1 or 8-0 in four of the singles contests.
