Lady Rams Fall At SSAC Foe Belhaven

JACKSON, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's tennis team fell 1-8 at Southern States Athletic Conference opponent Belhaven University Saturday. Belhaven is receiving votes in the NAIA Top-25 poll.

Mobile (7-5, 1-3) will next compete in the 2012 SSAC Tournament April 19-21 at Lagoon Park in Montgomery, Ala.

Marcela Abrantes and Stephanie Tomita put up a battle at No. 1 doubles before falling 9-7, but the Blazers picked up 8-1 and 8-0 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles.

The Lady Rams' lone point of the match came in the form of a 6-1, 6-1 win from Tomita at No. 1 singles.
