No. 18 Warhawks Sweep DH From No. 24 Lady Rams

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 18th-ranked Auburn University-Montgomery Warhawks swept the 24th-ranked University of Mobile in SSAC softball action Friday. Mobile dropped game one 3-2 in 10 innings and dropped the finale 6-1.
Mobile (28-12, 10-9) will visit 6th-ranked William Carey Monday at 4 pm for a doubleheader.
In the opener, the Warhawks scored two in the bottom of the 10th to win the game. Kaci Pribanic singled home Jessica Rogers with one out in the top of the 10th to put the Lady Rams ahead 2-1.
In the bottom of the 10th, Laci Driggers tied it up with a one-out RBI base hit. Two batters later, Shea Driggers poked a two-out RBI-single to right field to win the game.
AUM scored first in the game with a single tally on three hits in the 3rd, but Mobile forced extras when Emily Vickrey was hit by a pitch with the bases full.
Kamaron Strickland took the loss after giving up two earned runs on eight hits in 9.2 innings of action. Brandi Richards picked up the victory after limiting Mobile to one earned run on four hits in 10 innings.
Pribanic went 2-for-4 with one RBI at the plate for Mobile, while Laci Driggers paced AUM with three hits.
AUM scored six runs on six hits in the finale. The Warhawks plated two runs apiece in the 2nd, 4th and 6th innings, and Cassie Daniels limited Mobile to one unearned run on three hits in a complete-game effort.
An infield single and walk started the AUM rally in the 2nd, and then a Mobile error forced home the first run. The Warhawks then took control of the game in the 4th when Jyssica Pepper launched a 2-run homer with two outs.
The Lady Rams' lone run came in the 3rd when Brittany Dunson led off with a double and came around to score on a two-out error.
