Men's Tennis Student-Athletes Earn SSAC Honors

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's tennis team had several student-athletes honored with the release of the Southern States Athletic Conference year-end awards.

Fernando Paiva, a junior from Brazil, was named the SSAC Men's Tennis Newcomer of the Year. Paiva compiled a 5-1 record at No. 1 singles for the Rams, and teamed up with Karlis Stonis to go 5-4 at No. 1 doubles.



Beau Bryars, a senior from Semmes, was named to the Musco Lighting Champions of Character Team.



Paiva, Enzo Correa and Clint Key were named to the All-Academic Team. Correa is a sophomore from Santo Andre, Brazil, and Key is a junior from Clinton, Miss.
