Rams Ink Local Runner

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's cross country program announced the signing of Cottage Hill Christian Academy's Colby Verdin Tuesday.

Verdin participated in cross country and track and field at CHCA since the 8th grade. As a junior, he earned All-State honors and was recognized by the Mobile Press-Register as one of the Super Seven for the region.

In Verdin's senior year, he finished 7th at the State Championship with a time of 16:46 in the 5K meet and earned All-State honors. He owns the school records for 5K and 2-mile.

"Colby is a great addition to our program as we continue to build our program back to being a national contender," UMobile Head Coach Alastair Stevenson said.
