Lady Rams Roll To 2-0 Home Win

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team blanked visiting Reinhardt University 2-0 in non-conference action Monday afternoon.

The Lady Rams (4-0) host SCAD-Savannah Thursday, Sept. 6 at 7 pm.

Mobile dominated from start to finish, out-shooting the visitors 25-1 for the game, with a 13-1 edge in the first half and a 12-0 edge in the final period of play.

The Lady Rams opened the scoring in the 16th minute when Jesslyn Fagundes beat the keeper off assists from Kelsie Ruff and Christy Lachappelle. Ruff sent a long cross to the top of the 18-yard box, where Lachappelle flicked it towards the goal, and Fagundes was able to beat the goalkeeper to the ball and knock it in.

Mobile capped the scoring in the 41st minute, when LaTesha Fleming headed home a cross from Rebekah Counce.
