Men's Cross Country Runs At Loyola Invitational

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team finished in 7th place at the Loyola University Cross Country Invitational Saturday to open the 2012 season.

William Carey won the meet with 51 points and a team time of 1:27:39.12, while the Rams posted 174 points and a team time of 1:41:29.49.

Colby Verdin paced the Rams with a 19th-place finish and a time of 18:27.15.

Zach Gaines followed at No. 24 with a time of 18:44.62, John Craft clocked in at 20:54.55, Eric Elmore finished at 21:25.09, Emil Verde finished at 21:58.08, Wade Scott finished at 22:39.40 and Jayme Snellgrove completed the run with a time of 24:20.46.

Mobile will next run at the Azalea City Classic Sept. 15 at the Brookley Gulf Pines Golf Course at 7:30 am.
