UMobile Men's Golf Sits In 4th Place

CLEVELAND, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's golf team sits in 4th place after the opening round of the Derrall Foreman Invitational, hosted by Delta State University Friday.
The Rams fired a 4-over 292 on the opening 18 holes, while Union University leads the field after carding a -18 270. Mobile is four strokes behind 3rd place Lindenwood and two strokes ahead of Centenary College.
Chase Blan is in a tie for 3rd individually after shooting a 3-under 69 on day one, while Zach Day is tied with three others at No. 7 after firing a 2-under 70.
Viktor Cedersjo finished at +2 74 to sit in 22nd, Josh Ball carded a 7-over 79 and Michael Abram finished with a +8 80.
Union's Brett Barry sits atop the leaderboard with a 9-under 63.
The final 18 holes will take place Saturday at the Cleveland Country Club.
