UMobile Men's Cross Country Runs At Azalea City Classic

MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile men's cross country team finished 13th at the 2012 Azalea City Classic Saturday morning.

The 8K meet was held at the Brookley Pines Golf Course.

The Rams finished with 378 points and a team time of 2:36:00, while Auburn won the meet with 22 points and a time of 2:09:00. William Carey was the top NAIA school with 146 points and a time of 2:17:08.

Zach Gaines was the Rams' top finisher, placing 66th after clocking in at 29:39.87, while Colby Verdin finished two spots back of Gaines with a time of 29:57.06.

John Craft clocked in at 31:30.86, Wade Scott finished at 32:21.88, Emil Verde finished at 32:31.09, Mark Meadows finished at 33:17.10 and Jayme Snellgrove finished at 34:26.37.

The Rams next run at the Gulf Coast Stampede in Pensacola, Fla., Sept. 22 at 7:30 am.
