ORANGE BEACH, Ala-- The 21st-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team used a pair of second-half goals to rally past Embry-Riddle 2-1 Saturday evening at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
Mobile (4-1-1) will visit Southern Poly Sept. 21 at 2 pm in a Southern States Athletic Conference battle.
Despite being out shot 22-14 for the game and 13-7 for the second half, the Rams held an 8-6 edge in shots on frame.
Embry-Riddle opened the scoring with just 1:45 remaining in the opening period on a goal from Couturier, but Chris Dillon answered just 1:55 into the second half to knot it up, when he scored on a feed from Gaetan Massiah.
The winning tally came in the 54th minute, with Massiah doing the honors and Sam Blackburn picking up the assist.
Elijah Gibson made five saves in goal for the Rams to pick up his second win as goalkeeper in as many days.
