No. 14 UMobile Men Fall 1-2 At No. 7 Southern Poly

MARIETTA, Ga-- The 14th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team fell 2-1 at 7th-ranked Southern Poly in Southern States Athletic Conference action Friday.
The Rams managed only 1 shot on goal out of 3 shots, while Southern Poly put 10 of 22 shots on frame. The Hornets also finished with a 14-2 edge in corner kicks.
The majority of the opening half went by with the teams scoreless before Alvaro Pichardo put the Rams ahead 1-0 in the 42nd minute, with Sam Blackburn picking up the assist.
Mobile managed only one shot in the final period, and Southern Poly took 12, finally breaking through in the 60th minute, when Adis Islamovic scored to knot the game at 1-1.
Omar Kanteh scored the game winner in the 82nd minute, with Adis Islamovic picking up the assist.
Elijah Gibson worked all 90 minutes in goal for Mobile, grabbing 8 saves.
Mobile (4-2-1, 0-1-0) will visit Lee University Saturday at 6 pm CST.
