No. 5 Lady Rams Blast Lady Warriors 4-0

MOBILE, Ala-- The 5th-ranked University of Mobile women's soccer team defeated visiting Southern Wesleyan 4-0 in Southern States Athletic Conference action.
Mobile (6-3-1, 2-1) hosts Truett-McConnell Saturday at 5 pm.
The Lady Rams dominated the game from the start, out shooting the Warriors 25-1, and finishing with a 9-0 edge in corner kicks. Mobile tallied a pair of goals in each half.
Olivia Maddox scored the first goal of the game, when she headed home a cross from Brianna Simmons in the 21st minute. Eighteen minutes later, Bethan Morgans made it 2-0, when she knocked the ball past the goalkeeper.
The team picked up right where they left off in the final period, with Christy Lachappelle scoring in the 47th minute on a rip from about 20 yards out. The final goal of the game came in the 55th minute, when a nice through ball from LaTesha Fleming put Katie Compton behind the defense, and Compton beat the keeper one-on-one.
Gillian McMahon and Rebecca Wynne each worked a half in goal, with Wynne recording the lone save.
