HATTIESBURG, Miss-- The University of Mobile men's soccer team dropped its second straight Gulf Coast Athletic Conference contest, dropping a 1-3 decision to No. 12 William Carey University Tuesday evening.
The loss came on the heels of a 1-0 overtime defeat against another NAIA Top-25 club, Belhaven College.
The Rams (5-8, 1-2) return to action Saturday, Oct. 24 at home when they host Auburn University-Montgomery at 7 pm. Jason Williams made 7 saves and allowed 3 goals in the loss for Mobile.
William Carey got two goals from Reece Wilson to take a 2-0 lead in the first half, and then a goal from Carl Reynolds 3 minutes into the second half put Carey ahead 3-0.
Sam Blackburn added Mobile's goal in the 86th minute. The Rams took 11 shots and put 8 on goal, while William Carey put 10 of 17 shots on target.
Mobile's leading goal scorer Onesimus Ikungo managed one shot on target out of two shots.
