UM Drops Opener 1-0

MONTGOMERY, Ala-- The 9th-ranked University of Mobile men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision to Martin Methodist College in their season opener Friday at Auburn-Montgomery's Capital City Classic.

Martin Methodist's Tiago Reichert knocked home a pass from teammate Justin Hardin in the 72nd minute for the winning tally.

Mobile's Jason Williams tallied one save and allowed one goal, while Martin Methodist's James Coleman picked up the shutout victory with three saves.

The Rams outshot the Redhawks 14-6, but only put three of those on target. Mobile (0-1) returns to action Saturday at the Capital City Classic against Marian University.
