MOBILE, Ala-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team fell 60-67 at home to Southern University at New Orleans in Gulf Coast Athletic Conference action Thursday evening at Pharr Gym.

Adrienne Mackay was the only Lady Ram to tally double figures, scoring 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting. Davina Jefferson added 9 for Mobile and Alice Honnery finished with 8 rebounds and 4 blocks.

Jessica Adams led three Lady Knights in double figures with 18 points, Kiarra Sims added 11 and Martynique Hampton finished with 10 points.

The Lady Rams shot 56% from the floor, while SUNO shot 49%, but 30 Mobile turnovers negated the shooting edge. The Lady Knights also got the advantage at the line, finishing 17-of-23 from the charity stripe, compared to 4-of-13 for Mobile.

The teams traded buckets for the first 6:47, but then SUNO grabbed its first lead on a steal and layup from Hampton to go ahead 12-10 with 12:24 left. From there, SUNO never trailed in the half and led by as much as eight points before taking a 31-26 lead into the break.

Mobile grabbed a lead with 12:14 to play in the second half on a bucket from Adrienne Mackay, and then grabbed a three-point lead on a putback from Honnery with 9:37 to go. SUNO battled back and grabbed the lead for good with 7:20 to play when Sims scored for a 52-51 lead. The Lady Knights led by at least four for the final 5:41.
