TOUGALOO, Miss-- The University of Mobile women's basketball team suffered its first Gulf Coast Athletic Conference loss Thursday, falling 68-75 at Tougaloo College.

NAIA No. 24 Mobile falls to 10-3 overall and 2-1 in conference, while Tougaloo moves to 6-8 and 2-1. The Lady Rams return to action Saturday, Jan. 16 at 5:00 pm at Belhaven College.

A porous first half doomed the Lady Rams as Tougaloo built a 45-25 lead at half time after draining 6-of-7 three pointers and shooting 19-of-35 from the floor. Mobile was limited to 36% shooting and turned the ball over 19 times in the half.

The Lady Rams improved in the second half by getting to the free throw line and hitting 12-of-14 freebies, but still managed to hit only 1-of-11 from downtown. The Lady Bulldogs, meanwhile, shot 4-of-9 from deep and 48% from the floor to hang on for the win.

Mobile finished with a 41-20 rebounding edge and was 14-of-18 from the free throw line, compared to a 1-of-3 effort from Tougaloo.
