UM Ladies Fall On Road

DALLAS, Texas--- The University of Mobile women's soccer team fell short at Northwood University Monday, dropping a 3-2 decision in non-conference action.
 
Missy Stovall put the Lady Rams on the board first with a goal in the 15th minute, but Northwood added a pair just 4:30 apart to answer. Amber England scored in the 25th minute and Helena Melin tallied a goal in the 29th minute for a 2-1 lead.
 
Stovall then answered for Mobile, tallying her team-leading 11th goal of the season in the 43rd minute to knot the game at 2-2 heading into the half.
 
Northwood finished with 18 shots in the game and kept applying pressure, which paid off in the 60th minute when Audrey-anna Gatlin scored the game-winner.
 
Mobile goal keeper Anna Maddox finished with 9 saves in the loss, while Northwood goal keeper Ashley Ford made six saves.
 
Mobile (5-6-1) returns to action at home Saturday, Oct. 17 at 7 pm against Covenant College. Stovall has six goals in the last three contests.
