Pair Of Lady Ram Golfers Honored By NAIA

KANSAS CITY, Mo-- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced the 2010 Women's Golf All-Americans and Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes Monday evening.

Senior Maegan Rice was named a 1st-Team All-American for the second time in her career. She was named Honorable Mention All-American in 2008, also. Fifteen student-athletes were 1st-Team selections as selected by the All-America Committee.

The Florence, Ala., native qualified for the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships for the 4th time this season and finished tied for 17th. She posted a tournament-best 1-under 71 in the opening round.

She finished 1st in six tournaments during the 2009-10 season, including winning the NAIA Qualifier to qualify for nationals.

Junior golfer Taylor Lee was one of 86 student-athletes to be named a 2010 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.

The business administration major is a native of Fairhope, Ala. She posted a Top-10 finish at the Spring Hill Badger Invite this year.
