Volleyball Sweeps SUNO In Road Action

NEW ORLEANS, La-- The University of Mobile volleyball team traveled to former conference foe Southern University at New Orleans and picked up a 25-17, 25-16, 25-8 win in straight sets Tuesday evening.

Mobile (3-2) visits Southern States Athletic Conference foe Faulkner University Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 7 pm.

Senior Kelly Sherling led the Lady Rams with 9 kills, while newcomer Disah Kolassiba finished with 8 kills and 3 blocks from the middle.

Melody Tenney and Kaylee McGrew split the setting duties and finished with 15 and 12 assists, respectively, while McGrew also finished with 3 aces. Mobile native Charlotte Stutts led the team with 4 service aces.

Roswell, Ga. native Katy McCollister had 11 digs from the libero position, while Alyson Kovacs helped out at the net with 3 blocks.
